Regulations

以下為本屆加州盃之競賽規則。原則上依照WBSC/MLB OBR之規則。若有未盡事宜，主辦單位將依現場狀況與裁判判定辦理。
The following are the regulations for this year's California Cup. Generally following the WBSC/MLB OBR rules. Matters not covered here will be determined by the organizer and umpires based on game conditions.

1. 一、球員資格

   1. Player Eligibility

   • 所有球員於比賽開始當日須年滿18歲。 All players must be at least 18 years old on the day the game begins.

2. 二、比賽時間限制

   2. Game Time Limits

   • 比賽進行至2小時15分時，不再開始新的一局。 No new inning may begin once the game reaches 2 hours and 15 minutes.
   • 比賽進行至2小時30分時，立即進入該局的最後一個打席；該打席結束後比賽強制終止。 At 2 hours and 30 minutes, play immediately moves to the final plate appearance of the current inning, and the game is terminated when that plate appearance ends.
   • 若因天候或其他不可抗力因素中斷，時間裁定由主辦單位依情況調整。 If play is interrupted by weather or other force majeure, the organizer may adjust the timing rules as appropriate.

3. 三、攻守名單與教練權限

   3. Lineup Exchange and Coach Authority

   • 開賽前雙方須交換攻守名單，並於名單中指定一位教練。 Before the game, both teams must exchange lineups and designate one coach on the lineup card.
   • 僅有教練得向裁判提出抗議或進行球員更換。 Only the designated coach may address the umpires for protests and make player substitutions.
   • 若教練因故離場，球隊須立即指定下一位教練接任。 If the coach leaves for any reason, the team must immediately appoint a replacement coach.

4. 四、打線與守備規定

   4. Batting Order and Defensive Alignment

   • 開賽前須提交先發打線，至少9人，上限不限。 Each team must submit a starting batting order before the game with at least 9 players and no maximum limit.
   • 比賽開始後，打線人數不得增減。 Once the game begins, the number of players in the batting order may not be increased or decreased.
   • 守備球員必須從該打線中指派，上場次數不限。 Defensive players must be selected from the batting order, and defensive substitutions are otherwise unlimited.
   • 若球員自打線名單中移除，該球員於本場比賽中不得再重新加入打線名單中，除非獲得主審與對方教練共同同意。 If a player is removed from the batting order, that player may not re-enter the batting order in the same game unless both the plate umpire and the opposing coach approve.

5. 五、二出局代跑規定

   5. Courtesy Runner with Two Outs

   • 當局二出局後，若投手或捕手成為跑者，球隊得指定代跑。 After two outs in an inning, a team may use a courtesy runner if the pitcher or catcher becomes a baserunner.
   • 代跑不視為上場紀錄，因此不受第四條打線名單限制。 A courtesy runner does not count as an official appearance and is therefore not restricted by Rule 4 regarding the batting order.

6. 六、場地界線與全壘打判定

   6. Field Boundaries and Home Run Rulings

   • 本場地無全壘打牆，若擊球直接飛出天然界線（草皮區外），視為全壘打。 This field has no outfield home run fence. A fair ball that flies directly beyond the natural boundary, outside the grass area, is ruled a home run.
   • 若界內滾地球滾出天然界線（草皮區外），依場地規則處理。 A fair ground ball that rolls beyond the natural boundary, outside the grass area, will be handled under the applicable ground rules.

7. 七、球員不足之裁定

   7. Inability to Continue Due to Short Roster

   • 若球隊因球員不足而無法繼續比賽，則裁定比賽以0：7結束。 If a team cannot continue the game due to insufficient players, the game will be ruled a 0-7 loss.

8. 八、沿用 WBSC / MLB OBR 之補充規則

   8. Supplemental Rules Adopted from WBSC / MLB OBR

   • 投手練投：新上場投手最多8球，續投投手最多5球，主審可因傷停或延誤情況酌情增加。 Warm-up pitches: a new pitcher may throw up to 8 warm-up pitches, and a returning pitcher may throw up to 5. The plate umpire may allow more in cases of injury or delay.
   • 投手丘訪問：每隊每場比賽有5次訪問投手丘的機會。若次數用盡後仍訪問投手丘，則必須更換投手。 Mound visits: each team is allowed 5 mound visits per game. If a team makes another mound visit after using all 5, the pitcher must be replaced.
     • 以下情況不列入訪問次數：捕手與投手在守備中短暫交談、因傷暫停、更換投手、攻方請求暫停所造成的投捕交談。 The following do not count as mound visits: brief catcher-pitcher communication during normal defense, injury timeouts, pitching changes, or catcher-pitcher discussions caused by an offensive timeout request.
